SCOTTLAND FC president Pedzisai “Scot” Sakupwanya has praised MWOS for the level of competition that they have exhibited in the about to end 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

With two rounds of play remaining, Scottland, who have had a fierce rivalry with MWOS since last year when they were playing in the Northern Region Division One League, have already clinched the championship with the punters breathing down their neck.

“I want to tell you the truth, MWOS has played good football. Look, we played together in the Division One League and when we got promoted into the league, us (Scottland FC), we bought players and MWOS didn’t. They still used players they had in Division One,” said the outspoken Sakupunywa in an interview that has gone viral on social media circles.

He added: “I want to thank my coach (Tonderayi Ndiraya) he worked hard. Truth be told, when I got the news that we had beat them 1-0 in our second leg PSL match, I was so happy. I actually threw a party. In fact, Scottland and MWOS have changed the country’s football landscape. A number of teams are down there, look at Dynamos,

Highlanders and CAPS United. I think this has never happened in the history of Zimbabwean football.”
The star-studded Scottland land will next year represent the country in the CAF Champions League with the hope of further doing well.
