Scotland to visit for Zim A series

THE Scotland cricket team will visit the country in April for limited-overs matches against Zimbabwe ‘A’ and the Zimbabwe Academy team.

The Scots, expected to arrive in Harare on 13 April, will start their tour with a T20 double-header against the Zimbabwe Academy side at Takashinga Cricket Club on 19 April, followed by a one-off 50-over match between the two teams at the same venue on 22 April.

They will then face Zimbabwe ‘A’ in three one-day matches at Harare Sports Club, scheduled for 24, 26 and 28 April.

ZC managing Director Givemore Makoni welcomed the tour, saying it provided valuable opportunities for Zimbabwe’s emerging talent.

“This tour is crucial for our player development pathway, as it allows our up-and-coming cricketers to test themselves against a competitive international side,” he said.

“We are delighted to host Scotland and believe these matches will contribute significantly to the growth of our players.”
