Scott Vincent qualifies for 2025 U.S Open

ZIMBABWE’S leading professional golfer Scott Vincent has qualified for the 2025 U.S Open which is scheduled for Oakmont Country Club, in Pennsylvania from June 12-15.

The 32 year old Vincent secured his ticket to the third major championship of the year through the U.S. Open Final Qualifying Japan leg which was held at Tarao Country Club (West Course), Shiga Prefecture, Japan on Monday.

Vincent carded an impressive 10-under-par 134 to tie for first position with Yuta Sugiura of Japan and secure one of the three tickets from the 36-hole qualifier which had a field of 43 golfers.

He shot identical rounds of 67, 67.

This will be his first U.S. Open appearance and his second majors appearance having played the British Open in 2022.

Jinichiro Kozuma, who was Vincent’s teammate on the Iron Heads at LIV Golf League last season secured the third ticket from the Japan leg on nine-under.

On June 2, there will be 10 further Final Qualifying tournaments across the United States and Canada to make up the 2025 US Open field.
