SCOTTLAND coach Norman Mapeza was a relieved man after his side picked up their second win in seven matches at Wadzanayi yesterday.
They beat winless Agama 2-1 courtesy of two first half goals from Tymon Machope and Walter Musona.
Grey Kufandada pulled one back for Agama early in the second half.
The win settled the nerves for defending champions Scottland who went into the encounter with just one win in six matches.
With the win, Mabvirarira moved to 21 points, five behind log leaders CAPS United who were held 2-2 by MWOS at Rufaro.
“t was a good game of football.
“I think in the first half, we controlled everything.
“Then in the second half, I spoke to the boys, you know we have been conceding in the first 30 minutes of the second half.
“I told them we needed to be disciplined, but again, we end up conceding again in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
“Then it puts us under unnecessary pressure,” lamented Mapeza.
The veteran gaffer however, feels the victory will galvanise his boys ahead of Saturday’s match against ZPC Kariba.

Machope fluffed at least two while Abubakar Moffat also came close with a long range shot.
“Then we had good opportunities. First half, good opportunities, one versus one.
“It was a difficult game but we managed to get three points.
“I think we are moving in the right direction,” said Mapeza.
