Search for Missing Family in Esigodini

Sunday News Reporter

In a heartbreaking development, Mr Mandla Moyo has turned to local media in a desperate plea for help in locating his wife, Ms Pinlot Zhou, and their twin children, who have been missing for several days.

The couple’s relationship took a dramatic turn after revelations about Ms Zhou’s sexual orientation led to tensions within the community.

Mr Moyo expressed his deep concern for his wife’s well-being and the safety of their children.

“I am especially worried about my children. They need their mother and I need them to be safe,” he said.

“After it was revealed that Pinlot is a lesbian, the village and myself reacted strongly, and she felt she had no choice but to leave.”

The situation escalated when local villagers, struggling to reconcile their traditional views with modern understandings of sexuality, began to openly oppose Ms Zhou.

This backlash reportedly pushed her to flee with the twins, leaving Mr Moyo distraught and searching for answers.

“I love my children and I will do anything to locate them,” Mr Moyo added. “But my children are innocent in all of this. I just want them back home where they belong.” The community remains divided, with some expressing support for Ms Zhou and others siding with Mr Moyo.

As the search intensifies, local authorities have been notified and are working to track down Ms Zhou and the children.

Mr Moyo has urged anyone with information about their whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing the need for understanding and compassion in these trying times.

“We are all human, and we must look out for one another, especially the children,” he concluded.

As the story unfolds, the focus remains on finding Ms Zhou and the twins, hoping for a safe reunion amidst the turmoil.
