SEASONED PLAYERS A BOOST FOR YADAH

YADAH coach Thomas Ruzive feels the availability of seasoned players has made the difference this season as they strive to finish in the top half of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League standings at the end of the season.

Yadah have so far made a decent outing and they have amassed 26 points and are in position 13 and have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Chibuku Super Cup after eliminating Chicken Inn via penalties in an opening round fixture at Luveve.

The club have made some serious acquisitions to bolster their squad.

Yadah are now home to former Warriors stars Khama Billiat, Evans Rusike, and Tafadzwa Rusike have added an Ugandan goalkeeper, Mathias Kigonya among other acquisitions.

Yadah will be trying to redeem themselves from a 1-3 loss at home in the hands of TelOne.

The club fought relegation the previous seasons, last season they survived relegation on the last day of the season with a win over Dynamos.

“Our current squad have an edge compared to last season’ side. We have managed to bring in more seasoned players who have made a difference in the league,” said Ruzive.

He added:

“We are well prepared to face Chegutu Pirates.

“We are good to go, but this one is an away fixture we will be away from home which means the fixture is a tricky one.

“Like any other coach in football, we go into every game to win but a lot happens that makes it difficult to come up with a win.”

“Chegutu are in a relegation battle and they will be out to also collect some points and that makes the game tricky as there is everything to fight for from both sides.

“All the players who came in have shown decency and added something to our game.

“It will be too early to say the players have made an impact as they will still need more game time for to gel with others.

“But we have all our players ready to go besides Marlon Mushonga, who is side-lined with flu.”
