THIS year’s Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce secretaries and personal assistants convention which was scheduled for September 11 to 13 in Nyanga was postponed to October 2.
ZNCC Manicaland and Chiredzi regional manager, Ms Perpetual Guwila attributed the development to circumstances beyond the organisation’s control.
“There are certain things that we could not control. We also let companies and organisations have ample time to prepare for this year’s edition of the Manicaland Agricultural Show. We also considered the pressures associated with parents and guardians during the back to school period and deiced to move the dates to early next month. We are however pleased with the progress so far and we continue to urge people to register for places.
The three-day event will run under the theme: “Translating economic blueprint into growth”.
Last year, 42 secretaries attended the highly successful event in Victoria Falls.
Topics to be covered during the three-day event include, networking challenges for women, enhancing assertiveness skills in workplaces, deportment, improving your communication skills and customer care.
She added that personal assistants, administrative assistants and receptionists are also expected to attend.
“Booking is already in progress. Those who want more information concerning fees which will cover everything, including accommodation, transport, food, refreshments, conference documentation and entertainment should contact ZNCC Mutare offices,” she said.
At last year’s convention, various speakers such as Marketing and Public Relations practitioner, Mr Victor Mudara, Rich Consultant founder, Mr Richie Munyavi and Hospitality Association of Zimbabwe president, Mr Tamuka Macheka, delivered presentations.
