MORE than 40 secretaries from across Manicaland Province are expected to attend this year’s edition of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce annual secretaries’ convention to be held at Montclair Hotel and Casino in the mountainous district of Nyanga early next month.

The three-day event will run from September 11 to 13 under the theme: “Translating economic blueprint into growth”.

Last year, 42 secretaries attended the highly successful event in Victoria Falls.

Topics to be covered during the three-day event include networking challenges for women, enhancing assertiveness skills in workplaces, deportment, improving your communication skills and customer care.

In an interview, ZNCC Manicaland and Chiredzi regional manager Ms Perpetual Guwila said they were looking forward to hosting a successful convention.

“We are preparing well for the event. We are looking forward to holding a bigger and better event.  This is an ideal time for secretaries and personal assistants to acquire knowledge and improve their expertise in their chosen profession.

“We are happy with overwhelming response we are getting from companies across the province,” Ms Guwila said.
She added that personal assistants, administrative assistants and receptionists are also expected to attend.
“Booking is already in progress.

“Those who want more information concerning fees which will cover everything, including accommodation, transport, food, refreshments, conference documentation and entertainment, should contact ZNCC Mutare offices,” she said.
