Sedco boss steps down

Business Reporter
SMALL Enterprises Development Corporation general manager Mrs Fortunate Sekeso has stepped down from her post to pursue personal interests.
She had been at the helm of Sedco since 2007 when she joined on a three-year contract.
Mrs Sekeso renewed her contract for one year and left when it expired on January 31 this year.
The organisation provides loans to small and medium enterprises at concessionary terms although its programmes were currently suffering a setback because of limited financial resources.
The focus was now on recovering the money lent to clients around the country.
Mr Stansislaus Makusha has been appointed acting general manager while the search for Mrs Sekeso’s replacement is underway.
Her departure comes at a time when Sedco has dismissed an internal auditor and an operations manager and Mrs Sekeso stressed that she was not in any way linked to their departure.
