SEED Co has honoured 25 of its employees with certificates for long service during an awards ceremony held by the company.
The awards were given to employees who have worked for the company for over 10 years up to 40 years.
The workers were also given hampers.
Guest of honour, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development John Basera said in every successful business, there are always loyal employees.
“The Ministry is happy with the move of Seed Co to appreciate its loyal and long service employees because for the company to be successful there is need for loyal employees who will always support the vision, targets and objectives of the company.
“This is a great example for other companies because there is no success that will come without loyal employees,” he said.
The awards were categorised in five groups.
The first five employees to receive the awards worked for Seed Co for 10 years.
They were each given a water tank, water pump, one-month salary, groceries and 40 kg of seeds.
Those who worked for 15 years received gas stoves and tanks, one-month salary, groceries, 60kg seeds
Six employees, who worked for 20 years, received solar geysers, groceries and 80kg seeds while two employees who worked for 25 to 30 years were given solar systems.
The employee, who has worked for 40 years, was given a grading machine and a solar system.
