Seek local partners: Investors urged

The minister said investors should seek partnerships with locals for win-win situation in exploiting the countries extensive investment opportunities.

He made the remarks in his speech during the official opening of the Zimbabwe-South Africa trade and investment conference in Johannesburg yesterday.

A high powered delegation from Zimbabwe, led by Deputy Prime Minister Arthur Mutambara is South to try and lure investors and expose local businesses to potential investment and trade partnership South African firms.

Zimbabwe needs huge amounts of foreign direct investment to fund the US$9,2 billion worth of projects and programmes as espoused in the country’s five year economic framework, the Medium Term Plan, 2011-2015.
