Dancehall chanter Seh Calaz will take raunchy dancer-cum musician Beverly “Bev” Sibanda’s slot at a show in Cape Town, South Africa, on February 15. He will share the stage with urban grooves musician Ngonidzashe Kambarami .
Bev has quit dancing to follow a religious calling.
Show promoter Joe Mavasa who is based in South Africa confirmed the development although he was a bit disappointed by the sudden change.
“Yes it is true that l have replaced Bev with Seh Calaz because l heard she is now into church business.
“I am disappointed because many people were waiting for her here and some had already bought the tickets. There is nothing I can do but make the replacement. Seh Calaz has a huge fan base here and I hope people will enjoy the show,” he said.
On the other hand, Ngoni, who has been keeping a low profile said he has done all the necessary preparations for the big show.
“I am so excited that for my first show of the year l will be visiting my South African fans who had missed me a lot.
“I will sample some of my new songs to them,” he said.
Kambarami added that he will be releasing a gospel single titled “Ndichitsvaga” off his forthcoming album.
“Next week l will be releasing my single “Ndichitsvaga” that says for a long time l have been searching for salvation but I have finally found it.
“This track is off my forthcoming album due for release in April.”
Bev quit dancing saying her life was transformed after having an encounter with Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries’ founder Prophet Walter Magaya. Prophet Magaya told her to quit her “dirty dancing” so that he can open a business for her.
