Seke duo appeares in court for threatening police officers

charges of public drinking and violence, have appeared in court.
Knowledge Chipazura (21) and Zebron Ndamuka (28) of Chakahwata and Ndamuka Villages, Seke denied the charges preferred against them when they appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Lazini Ncube.
They were remanded to today ( for sentence).
The duo threatened to beat up police officers at the Charge Office, for arresting Zebron’s young brother Kumbirai for public drinking and violence.
Prosecutor Mr Luke Mutupe told the court that constables Takaruza Seremwe, Isaac Mupunwa and Obert Mubvumba on November 12 this year, went on patrol to enforce Liquor Act at Dema Growth Point, Seke.
When they arrived at Inner City Nightclub, they saw Kumbirai Ndamuka scuffling with another patron Persistence Ndebele and arrested him.
As they boarded their vehicle, Zebron and Chipazura forcibly jumped into the vehicle.
On arrival at the station, Sergeant Seremwe gave orders for the detention of Kumbirai.
The decision did not go down well with the two who demanded the release of Kumbirai and challenging the detention on grounds that he never committed any offence.
They blocked the police officers from taking him to the holding cells and shouted at the law enforcement agents.
Zebron ordered his young brother to wear his shoes and move out of the Charge Office
Sergeant Seremwe went to seek help from Assistant Inspector Shoko Mupazi and Mupawaenda.
The duo was overpowered and arrested before they were detained.
