Some members of Seke community today received food aid courtesy of President Mnangagwa through the Zunde raMambo programme.

The programme, which was led by Chief Seke, saw the elderly and those living with disabilities receiving wheat.

Chief Seke handed over the grain to ward councillors and village heads who will then distribute the grain to the vulnerable.

Speaking during the distribution programme held at his homestead in Seke today, Chief Seke commended President Mnangagwa for the aid that he said will go a long way in assisting the need.

“We went to President Mnangagwa and tabled our concerns as a community. We appealed to him for food aid and as a listening President, he gave us food under Zunde raMambo for the vulnerable families.

“So today I brought the food and I am giving it to the beneficiaries through ward councillors and village heads.

“This food aid is from President Mnangagwa. Remember he said no one should die of hunger. Every Zimbabwean should have food on the table. So that is why we are here with this aid,” said Chief Seke.
