Seke Road accident death toll rises

THE number of people, who died in an accident along Seke Road, has risen to seven.

In a statement, national police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi said four other people died while admitted at hospital.

“Reference is made to the Zimbabwe Republic Police press statement released on a fatal road traffic accident which occurred on August 13 at the intersection of Seke Road and St Patrick’s Road, Hatfield in Harare.

“The death toll has risen to seven following the passing on of four other victims who were admitted at Sally Mugabe Hospital and Chitungwiza Hospital.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police reiterates that drivers should exercise caution on the roads to curb road traffic accidents,” said Commissioner Nyathi.

Police also released names of the four victims, Lucky Gwangwanza of Unit M, Andrew Chikwanda of Unit L, Tafadzwa Sibanda of Unit L, and Michael Munyanga of Unit L all in Chitungwiza.
