UPCOMING comedian Bright “Sekuru Toi” Miga is an artiste determined to get his messages across whatever it takes. Wearing a wig and mini-skirt, Miga moves around the streets of Harare marketing his own films while giving impromptu performances to curious onlookers.
The Chitungwiza resident first became involved in drama while still in primary school in rural Karoi.

Following in the footsteps of other comedians such as Freddy “Kapfupi” Manjalima and Charles “Ma- rabha” Merisi , “Sekuru Toi” started with street performances until he managed to raise enough money to record and produce his own comedy videos.

“I decided to dress up as a well-endowed woman to get the attention of people to my works.
“I address social issues as the titles of my short dramas like “Ndosaka Muchirehwa”, “Chikwambo” and “Zvakuwanawo” suggest.
“I have observed how people have abandoned their culture to the extent of seeking money by any means including the use of goblins and juju, which destroy families,” Miga said.

Other issues which he addresses include rape, incest, ritual murders, sexual relations as well as ignorance due to lack of proper education.
The comedian has teamed up with other actors including his wife Rosie, Brian Magaya, Toropito and Bhabhalazy to produce highly entertaining comedies which can be watched by the whole family.

He is currently touring schools in Mutare after having successfully performed in Bulawayo last month.
