Harare magistrate Mr Tapiwa Kuhudzai has sentenced self-proclaimed King Munhumutapa, real name Timothy Chiminya, to eight months in jail.

Chiminya was found guilty of undermining the President’s authority.

In his defense, Chiminya asserted that his title and authority were bestowed upon him by a spirit medium, which he claimed empowered him to install and remove traditional leaders across the country.
