The stage is set for this year’s commemorations of the International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI) celebrations to be held at Selous in Chegutu today.
Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister, Dr Jenfan Muswere and Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Postal and Courier Services Minister Tatenda Mavetera will address scores of people drawn from neighbouring communities
later today.
Various organisations and parastatals in the media and ICT sector are also expected to give solidarity nessages.
The IDUAI is celebrated annually on September 28 and seeks to promote the fundamental right of access to information, empowering citizens to participate in their communities and hold institutions accountable.
