Serial housebreaking duo jailed for 24 counts of unlawful entry and theft

A DUO from Zvishavane has been sentenced after appearing before the Zvishavane Magistrates’ Court for 24 counts of unlawful entry and theft.

Tafara Mutongomera (22) and Vimbai Jacob Puzumadu (18) were convicted and each sentenced to six years in prison.

In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) confirmed that one year of the sentence was suspended for good behaviour, and another year was suspended on the condition of restitution, leaving Mutongomera and Puzumadu, each with an effective four-year prison sentence.
