Sesko warns Manchester United rivals

BENJAMIN SESKO warned English Premier League football rivals it is only a matter of time before he fires Manchester United back to the top.

The £74 million ace snubbed Newcastle to seal a move to Old Trafford on Saturday.

Forward Sesko believes Ruben Amorim and his Red Devils are on the up again after some troubled times recently — and could not resist the chance to be part of it.

Asked of his ambitions at United, Sesko said: “We get better, connect, we grow step-by-step. We’re becoming more complete and it’s just a matter of time before we fly high again.”

Toon also offered RB Leipzig’s asking price and the Slovenia international was given the chance to choose between the two clubs.

Asked why he opted to link up with Amorim’s men, he said: “First of all it’s because of the club — it’s a historical club and an unbelievable one.

“The team is great and it’s getting better and better. It gives you an energy that you want to be part of. A great project and I can’t wait to start.

“Of course the manager played a part too — that’s important in football.

“He’s a great guy, a great coach. I think it’s going to be exciting.”

Sesko’s football idol is former United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he has been forensically watching clips of the Swedish legend for many years.

Ibra had one memorable season at Old Trafford before suffering a serious injury in spring 2017 — but the new boy will be over the moon if he can make such an instant impact. Sesko said: “Since I was small I’ve been watching him. Every single YouTube video that I can find. Because he’s just amazing for me. “We don’t have the same character but I like to see him — the way he plays, the way that he enjoys football. In general he’s my idol.

“I try to take some stuff from him, there are some similarities with the high kicks and things and the powerful strikes.

“We are not the same — we have different playing styles but in any situation I’ll try to do like he did.” — The Sun.
