Setback for Wilshere

LONDON. — Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger does not expect Jack Wilshere to return until February due to his slow recovery from a hairline fracture. The midfielder enjoyed a good pre-season but suffered a training ground injury on the eve of the new campaign and has not played since.

It was hoped that Wilshere would return before the end of the year, but Wenger was unable to give a positive update on the 23-year-old.

Wenger said: “He will not be back before February. That’s for sure.

“Once he goes outside to train and is back again into sharp, hard work physically, you count five or six weeks.” — The Daily Express.
