The correct position, as clarified by Mr. Alex Homela, who is the Secretary General of the Kwekwe Residents and Ratepayers Association, is that the residents association never rejected the budget and that instead, they were in dialogue with the City Council and made recommendations on how to improve the budget. Mr. Homela also states that he did not make the comments attributed to him in the article.
