Seven years for sodomist

Ms Mupindu sentenced him to 10 years in prison but set aside three years on condition of good behaviour.
In his defence, the man claimed that the boy sprung the charges on him because they share a different father and that the rest of the family wanted him out of their place.
Sometime in June, the man was sleeping together with his two half brothers aged five and nine.
During the night, he would awaken the five-year-old and molest him.
The offence came to light when the boy assaulted his brother for jeering at him about the sexual assault.
Their mother overhead them and took the boy to hospital where he was examined and evidence found of assault. The police were told. Mr Luke Mutupe prosecuted.
