WILLARD KUDAKWASHE JONIFATI is a living, breathing and walking description of what most people would call a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Apparently, his perverted idea of being an employment agent involved coercion and a lot of unwanted attention.
The deviant trickster lured two unsuspecting women to remote locations in Domboshava under the guise of offering them lucrative job opportunities.
However, instead of leading them to a bright future, he led them straight into a traumatising ordeal.
Armed with a knife and a particularly twisted amorous desire, Jonifati robbed and raped both women, leaving them emotionally scarred and shaken. In the first offence, Jonifati lured the first complainant, who is 35, to Mverechena Business Centre in Domboshava under the pretext that he had secured a job for her.
The victim met Jonifati at the business centre at around 7pm.
He asked her to follow him, claiming he was leading her to the place where he had secured a job for her. When they got to a bushy area, he whipped out his knife and ordered the complainant to surrender her phone.
He went on to rape her twice and left her in that bushy area. Jonifati then lured the second complainant to Molife turn-off in Domboshava using the same modus operandi.
As they were walking, he ordered her to hand over her possessions before raping the second complainant three times.
As the two walked to Mungate Business Centre, the complainant screamed for help and Jonifati was arrested.
She managed to recover her phone and money.
The sex pest was finally brought to justice, proving that even the most cunning predators can be brought down by the sheer force of human decency.
As Jonifati spends the next three and a half decades behind bars, perhaps he will have more than enough time to reflect on his despicable and pathetic past.
Good riddance!
