A HARARE woman yesterday told the Civil Courts that she was sex-starved as her husband always turns down her amorous advances. Tabia Saiti claimed Cosmas Mutizwa also physically and verbally abuses her. “I am being sexually abused by this man because whenever l ask for conjugal rights he refuses. Whenever we have a misunderstanding he does not give me money to buy food. To make matters worse he verbally abuses me in public and I have lost my dignity in the entire neighbourhood.” Saiti pleaded with Mr Nyatsanza to grant her application for a protection order as she has endured a lot of suffering in the hands of Mutizwa.
“He is having an extra marital affair and I think that is where he is quenching his sexual desires,” she said.
Mutizwa denied the allegations.
He said Saiti demands conjugal rights when he is tired.
“I am not denying her conjugal rights but at times she demands to be intimate with me when I am tired. That is why I refuse,” he said.
Mr Nyatsanza granted the order in Saiti’s favour barring Mutizwa from physically or verbally abusing her.
