STRIKER Pervington Zimunya grabbed a brace as Shabanie Mine continued to push for a Top Eight finish with a victory over Triangle in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Maglas yesterday. After the victory Shabanie Mine fans had some reason to celebrate as chances are now brighter that the miners will be playing in the top-flight next year.

Zimunya thrust his side into the lead after 21st minute.
The former Masvingo United skipper then scored from the penalty spot in the 41st minute.

Despite the defeat, Triangle coach Gishon Ntini hailed his charges for playing well.
“We lost our game last week when a stupid referee did what he thought was best.

“I am impressed with the way my team played and I  am now focusing on our next match against Chicken Inn and I must either win or collect a point as I want to finish in the Top Eight,” said Ntini.

Shabanie coach, Luke Masomere, said it was a good result for his men.
“It was a very good result as we collected the last three points at home and we had a good show. I am now looking forward to our next match against Highlanders which I must prepare well,” said Masomere.
