Shakira breaks Facebook record

International pop star Shakira is officially the most popular person on online social networking platform Facebook, with over a 100 million ‘‘likes.’’ To celebrate this milestone, the 37-year-old Colombian posted a video on her page thanking her fans, saying ‘‘I am honoured and humbled about reaching this milestone, because it’s one that’s purely about connecting with my fans from all parts of the globe.’’

Shakira often takes to the social networking site to communicate with her fans. – NET.
