Ms Pauline Machingura died on Wednesday after a short illness at Chitungwiza Central Hospital.
She was 42.
He urged Zimbabweans to emulate President Mugabe who does not discriminate people.
“We are all Zimbabweans, whether one comes from Manicaland, Mashonaland or speaks Venda. We are just Zimbabweans and we should be united. Our President is humble; he is not corrupt and never practices nepotism.
We should learn from the true leader who is gifted in leadership,” he said.
Minister Shamu said people could imitate President Mugabe but no one matched his gift of leadership. The minister paid tribute to Bruce’s mother for the proper guidance and nurturing him to be a good person who lived in harmony with others.
He said it was through Bruce’s mother that the son became patriotic and managed to rise and meet President Mugabe. He had also sung along the President, said Minister Shamu.
His wife, Mrs Mary Shamu consoled Bruce and urged him to be brave.
“I lost my mother when I was still young and I know how it is like. You should continue to be obedient and be faithful to your wife even after your mother has gone,” she said.
Businessman Philip Chiyangwa donated a residential stand to Bruce while Kadoma businessman, Dexter Nduna offered to develop the stand from the foundation up to slab level.
Minister Shamu said he would consult the President for building materials. Mr John Machingura described his sister as a God-fearing and bold woman who worked hard and provided for her son even though she was a single parent. She was buried yesterday in Chitungwiza.
