Shamu consoles Shiri

In a statement yesterday, Minister Shamu who is also Zanu-PF political commissar said the death of Amai Magora, nee Chigwedu was a cruel blow to the family and all those who knew her.
Amai Magora died on Monday morning from abdominal tuberculosis.
She was 86.

Minister Shamu said the family fought tenaciously to ensure her recovery by bringing her from Mhondoro for treatment at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Harare where she was admitted on December 25, 2011.
“Everyone was looking forward to her full recovery and was surprised to learn that she had passed away on Monday morning, January 9 2012, the day she was due for a review,” he said.
“We mourn this great loss of a mother who was a gift from God, a pillar of support, an oasis of love, and a beautiful person inside and out.

“Mothers are one of the most amazing gifts and blessings that any person can receive from God.
“They are always relentlessly missed when they pass on.”
Amai Magora, Minister Shamu said, would be remembered for active involvement in development programmes in Chegutu East Constituency.

“Our hearts grieve for you and the entire family. We pray that God gives you the strength to deal with this enormous catastrophe and may He keep you and the entire family in His comfort and embrace during this difficult period.

“May you also find peace and comfort in knowing that your grief is shared by all your compatriots and the entire nation.
“Our prayer is that the sorrow you feel will be lightened by the outpouring love that surrounds you as Amai is laid to rest on Wednesday morning, 11th January, 2012 at Chigwedu homestead, Mudarikwa Village in

Mhondoro.

She is survived by her two children, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
