Chimurenga artist Shepherd “Shapiro Express” Chimbare, engaged Andy Muridzo on WhatsApp and recorded a song without meeting.
Shapiro Express, who was in South Africa where he hoped to promote his music career, has now relocated to Zimbabwe.
The artist is set to release a new single “Ingoma yeZimbabwe” featuring Muridzo.
Shapiro Express has never met Muridzo, but they managed to do a song together via WhatsApp.
“I have never met Muridzo; the song was done through WhatsApp. I would send files and he would do the same the song until it was done.
“We live in a world that needs a hustling mindset, so I decided to come back home and do my music.
“I had a studio back in South Africa that was fully equipped and I have moved it here,” he said.
He said Ingoma yeZimbabwe is a song that can be easily recognised as it is chimurenga music.
His music is now being promoted by Tichawona “Mdara Tich” Mushokere.
