EcoCash Holdings Zimbabwe Limited is set to officially change its name to TN CyberTech Investments Holdings Limited following overwhelming shareholder approval of a special resolution during an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) held last Friday. However, certain key regulatory steps have to be taken to effectively change the name.

Reads part of the resolution: “Proposed change of name that: the name of the Company be changed from ‘EcoCash Holdings Zimbabwe Limited’ to ‘TN CyberTech Investments Holdings Limited’ and that the name ‘TN CyberTech Investments Holdings Limited’ be substituted for ‘EcoCash Holdings Zimbabwe Limited’ in the Company’s

Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association and all the formation documents relating to the Company, with the name change to take effect on the date of the issue of the change of name certificate by the Registrar of Companies.”

The resolution further authorised directors to undertake all necessary actions to effect the change, noting that “The Directors and any of them be and are hereby authorised to complete and do all such acts and things (including executing such documents as may be required) as they may consider necessary, desirable or expedient to give effect to this resolution as they or he may deem fit.”

According to the company, the new name becomes effective on the date the Registrar of Companies issues the certificate of name change.

As part of the implementation timeline, the special resolution was expected to be lodged with the Companies Office on Monday, with a public announcement of the name change scheduled for 15 July 2025. The company is set to commence trading under the new name TN CyberTech Investments Holdings Limited on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange on 23 July 2025.

The move is widely seen as a strategic pivot, positioning the company to better reflect its future ambitions in the digital and cyber-technology space.
