‘She calls me a prostitute’

A HARARE woman has been dragged to court by her neighbour for disturbing her peace

Noris Mashava appeared in the Harare Civil Court for failing to maintain peace between her and her neighbour, Lillian Matize.

Magistrate Tamara Chidindi granted a protection order to Lillian.

Lillian accused Noris of verbally and emotionally abusing her.

“She verbally abuses me using obscenities.

“She even calls me a prostitute, claiming that I am dating her husband.

“She threatened me and at one point poured water over my face, and I don’t know if it contained any substances.

“I fear for my life now.”

Noris asked for forgiveness.

“Your Worship, I am sorry for everything that I have done.

“It’s not that I insult her, but we rather exchange words.”

Magistrate Tamara Chidindi granted the protection order and ordered Noris never to bother or visit Lillian’s place of residence.
