SHE CRIED OVER A $40 CHEQUE? AFRICA LAUGHS!Tyler Perry’s Queen of Tears roasted by Oliver Keith and Facebook’s Funniest

ZIMBABWEAN comedian and social media fire-starter Oliver Keith, popularly known as SaJesicca, has gone viral for a parody take of a crying scene from Tyler Perry’s films, accusing the character of making “premium foolishness” look like a career choice.

In a post that has now broken the internet, SaJesicca dragged the main character from Acrimony, played by Taraji P. Henson, who famously breaks down after a series of self-inflicted emotional disasters. Oliver’s post featured a crying screenshot with the caption: “There’s no way I’m feeling sorry for this woman. In Acrimony, she inherited $350 000 from her mother and used it on her husband. Later she got $10 million from Robert. But somehow… she’s crying over a $40 cheque? Aowa. This is Tyler Perry’s last straw!”

In Acrimony, Melinda (Taraji) is a loyal wife who spends her inheritance supporting her husband Robert’s dreams for nearly two decades. She finances his failed inventions, loses her home, and her youth, only for Robert to finally succeed after their divorce. Feeling guilty, Robert gives her $10 million and a luxury yacht as a peace offering. But instead of moving on, Melinda loses it. She goes full psycho-ex and sails straight into a tragic showdown, convinced she still owns his life.

Fast forward to Straw (real title: The Single Moms Club), and a similarly stressed-out Henson (now playing a different character) is now crying over a bounced $40 cheque. Internet sleuths and fans joke it’s the same woman — only now financially ruined and still emotionally bankrupt.
SaJessca’s post triggered a tsunami of laughter, with commenters lining up to drag Melinda’s money management skills. Bennie K Sibanda fumed, “$10M and she failed to open even a single branch of Chicken Inn? Nxa.”

Thandiwe Siziba piled on, “This woman is emotionally overdrawing from a closed account.” Simbarashe Munyoro added, “She got 10 million USD and failed to buy peace of mind. Where do I sign up for the suffering that comes with that kind of money?” Tatenda Jambaya said, “This woman didn’t even try to do a single tender with Zinara. She just cried the money away.” Munya K. Ngwenya was even more practical: “She could’ve bought cows, land and built a church in Gwanda. But no, she chose violence.”

SaJessca said Melinda represents the fictional version of someone who gets every opportunity in life and still fumbles spectacularly. “This is not trauma,” he said. “This is someone who forgot she had a life after the cheque cleared. We’ve got women here in Africa raising four kids on vending stalls and Mbare rent. This one was crying on a yacht.”

Tinotenda Mawanza summed it up best: “She got $10 million and still made trauma her full-time job.” Some users even joked that Melinda has become Tyler Perry’s “Minister of Misery,” showing up in every movie just to cry, yell and ruin her own blessings. Vee Dube quipped, “Carrying all the pain but none of the receipts.”
B-Metro tried to contact Melinda but sources say she’s still somewhere crying into a bounced cheque — possibly filming Why Did I Spend That Money?
With Facebook users on roast mode and Tyler Perry fans linking one meltdown to the next, Melinda might go down in history as the most tragically wasteful fictional millionaire of all time.
