A HARARE man has been granted a protection order against his girlfriend, whom he accused of disturbing his peace.

Gibson Dambakupetwa applied for a protection order against his girlfriend, Mary Gorizo, at the Harare Civil Court.

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted Dambakupetwa’s application.

Dambakupetwa told the court that Gorizo was in the habit of visiting his workplace and house to abuse him.

“She is my girlfriend, but she has turned into a monster.

“I am a guard at a certain company and she has a tendency of coming to my workplace tarnishing my name.

“I think she is after my money.

“She threatened to kill me, and I now fear for my life. She no longer respects me.

“She recently took all my clothes from my house and I wear my friend’s clothes these days,” said Dambakupetwa.
