BULAWAYO Zwitter coach, Jahalezansi Sibanda, said he was impressed by the electric atmosphere they experienced at Rufaro on Sunday.

They took on Drunkards FC in a social league match.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

“It was an electric atmosphere for us that we really enjoyed.

“There was a big crowd that was rallying behind both teams.

“It was a gracious moment for us and we are grateful.”

He added:

“The game was amazing, on and off the field.

“There was a good exhibition of football from both sides.

“The supporters came and they were amazing.

“The numbers made the whole place vibrant.

“Our medical team was attending to both teams and it set ablaze the whole place.”

He said it was a refreshing experience.

“It was a great experience of football.

“Our boys gave us everything on the field.

“It was more difficult in the first half, but coming into the second half, they understood the assignment. “They showed their mental fortitude.

“We can’t wait for our opponents to come for the return match when we host them.

“It is going to be a full part as well.”

Drunkards FC manager, Clibert Misi, said they were grateful to everyone that watched the match at Rufaro.

“The goal is to have fun and we had so much fun.

“I believe the result was fair.

“To be honest, we were very competitive in the first half such that we led 2-0 against our visitors.

“We, however, decided that friendship is more important than just a football result hence we toned down our arsenal a bit and the visitors managed to equalise.

“The agenda has always been that brotherhood and friendship wins.

“We would like to thank Bulawayo Zwitter FC for coming to Harare and making sure the match was a success.

“We are now looking forward to the return leg in Bulawayo soon.”
