ZIMDANCEHALL musician Shinsoman will be in Bulawayo this weekend to launch his latest album – Mandigonera.
The launch at The Lounge will run concurrently with that nightspot’s 5th anniversary celebrations on Saturday.
DJs Slamma, Marcus Andro, J-Za, Kananjo, Keezy, Criss Rocx, Flexxy O and Mafela will warm up the stage for Shinso.
The Giroriya hit-maker, according to manager Peter Chiyangwa, will distribute about 400 copies of the 15-track album to fans for free at the launch.
Organiser of the event DJ J-Za said: “We asked patrons who they wanted to entertain them as part of the five-year anniversary and they said they wanted a Zimdancehall artiste. Some of the artistes we wanted to perform were booked and fortunately, Shinsoman was available.”
He said a birthday cake and champagne will be shared with patrons on the night.
“There’ll be a pig on spit and some lucky patrons will be given meat for free.”
The anniversary will also be a special occasion for DJ J-za who has been disc jockeying at the joint since its inception.
“It’s been a great five years. I’ve enjoyed every session I’ve deejayed, working and supporting almost all the dance groups and local artistes. I’ve also groomed up-and-coming DJs and I’ll continue doing so,” said DJ J-za
