BARELY two months after Shinsoman’s last performance in Bulawayo, the sensational dancehall chanter is back by public demand.
Shinso, real name Romeo Antony – is expected to perform at an afternoon show at Cape to Cairo Gardens on Saturday.Speaking to Chronicle Showbiz, the Ndakupenga hit-maker confirmed the gig saying he would share the stage with his side-kick and urban grooves rapper YOZ.

“We are going to be in Bulawayo on Saturday afternoon alongside urban grooves rapper YOZ and I have been told people want me back so who am I to say no,” he said.

Organiser of the gig, Ashley Ndebele popularly known as “Becks 07”, said the dancehall star was heading for the city due to public demand.

“This show is going to be a show to remember as it has been organised due to public demand. There are people who missed Shinso’s last gig when he came to the city, some said the show was an evening gig and asked that we bring him back, so this one is dedicated to them,” he said.

Becks said that the show was going to be a family show as it comes after the closing of schools.

“We thought of bringing something special for the families since the schools are closing this week. They should come and have a great time with the dancehall father.

“We are appealing to dancehall fanatics in the city to come in numbers to enjoy music from the dancehall father,” he said.

Various artistes are expected to warm up the stage before the hoarse-voiced star gets to the stage and these include Triplek, Khoikhoi, DJ Noster and DJ Breezy.

Meanwhile, in the evening the Mawaya Waya hit-maker will invade Hwange for the first time at Eldorado Park.

The venue, which has been described by the organisers as the ideal joint, is opposite the police camp along the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road.
