Shottists in arms meeting

Safeguard’s best Armoured Division guards and incorporate these skills into a sport shooting format.
Safeguard is one of the few security companies in Zimbabwe to provide regular comprehensive firearms training for their armed guards, and by introducing competitive shoots under the auspices of the Zimbabwe Shooting Sport Federation, not only are skills developed and tested, but morale is also boosted.
Each competitor had to fire five rounds at 5 metres, five rounds at 10 metres and five rounds at 15 metres in unlimited time. Then at 10 metres they had to fire five rounds in 10 seconds, and lastly five rounds in single target exposures of five seconds each.
The Mashonaland A team of Patrick Chakawesha (captain), Wellington Kuyengwa, Forbes Zindoga and Tulani Kaverenga took first place closely followed by the Mashonaland B team comprising Tinaye Zimkute, Tendai Muzengeza, Baston Namilo and Jonah Matsvai.
Matabeleland shooters Joseph Sibanda, Jabulani Zikoni, Solomon Nyoni and Bengisi Ndhlovu finished in third place, and the Midlands team of Charles Chibedura, Law Tawasunga, Macmillan Chitiyo and Ignitious Chikutuwa came fourth.
The individual champion was  Tendai  Munengeza of  Mashonaland B team.
