Show Grounds diamonds: Just a prank

In our last week’s addition of The Manica Post we carried a front page story headlined ‘Diamonds discovered at Show Grounds’ in which we reported that a rich diamond belt had been discovered at the grounds in Chikanga high-density suburb.  Following the publication of the article hundreds of people thronged the showgrounds to seek a fortune but they found nothing. Last Friday was April 1st which is April Fool’s Day and that article was a mere prank.
