Showers of blessings in Masvingo

Entertainment Reporters
Masvingo comes alive with gospel vibes tomorrow afternoon when many gospel artistes descend on Mucheke Hall for a family show that begins at 10 am. Still bubbling with the success of another mega show at Mucheke Stadium last week, the city becomes a hive of activity again as gospel musicians converge to bless music followers.
Blessing Shumba, Kudzi Nyakudya, Tatenda Mahachi and Rumbi Zvirikuzhe will lead a contigent of established an upcoming gospel musicians that would take turns to entertain fans at the hall.

The musicians have all promised a blessed day when they do their best to drop gospel hits.

Mahachi said he has been working hard to prepare for the show to ensure that he delivers a polished act.

“I am ready for the show. We have been rehearsing over the past weeks specifically for this show. It is one of our many shows that would see us reaching out to different communities in many parts of the country,” said Mahachi.

“We want to show fans that we are armed to take our gospel to all parts of the country. I will be playing old and new hits.”

Shumba also promised a mixed bag of music.

“This will be a big show for our fans in Masvingo. We rarely perform in that city and we are glad to team up with fellow gospel musicians for a good cause,” said Shumba.

“I have just finalised my new album and I will play some of the songs at the show. We promise nothing but the best.”

Organisers of the show said they would take the concept to Mutare and Gweru before going to small towns with a mission of spreading the word of God through music.

“Reaching out to gospel fans that rarely see their favourite musicians in action is very important. We wil take the concept to other parts of the country so that fans have time with the musicians,” said one of the organisers.
