PACIFIC Breeze brand ambassador Martin Sibanda is billed to share the Glamis Arena stage in Harare with Jamaica’s Luciano when they perform on April 10. They will be joined by other Pacific Breeze brand ambassadors, Jah Prayzah, Sulumani Chimbetu and Tocky Vybz for the Zimbabwe Sunsplash.

The former Ndolwane Super Sounds lead singer said he was hard at work preparing for the show, especially considering that he last performed in the capital two years ago.

“I’m preparing for the April show and want to guarantee revellers that they’ll get value for their money. This is a show that my fans in Harare have been waiting for a very long time for and I’m grateful for the opportunity which I’ll make the most of,” Sibanda said.

He will perform with his 11-member band that comprises of keyboard players, guitarists, dancers and backing vocalists.

Sibanda said he had a hectic schedule with shows in the Midlands this weekend before he takes his act to other parts of the country.

“I don’t consider any show better than the other because I don’t think one fan is less important than the other. I treat all my shows with the same approach despite the fact that the Harare one is going to be big, bringing together all Savannah Tobacco brand ambassadors to one stage with an international artiste as the main-act.

“My schedule is quite hectic as I’ve shows lined up in Bulawayo, Lupane, Vic Falls and Gweru,” he said.

One of the organisers of the event, Patrick “Chipaz” Chimbodza of Chipaz Promotions, said preparations for the Sunsplash were going on well with Luciano expected to jet into the country on April 7.

He said they were bringing the It’s me again hit-maker early as they are hoping to have him collaborate with local artistes.

“We want Luciano to come early as we’re planning that he collaborates with our artistes. Plans are going on well as we have all our clearances for the show,” Chipaz said.

He said the Zimbabwe Sunsplash would not end in Harare as plans were underway to take it to other cities.

“We’re planning to bring the Sunsplash to Bulawayo in June with all the Pacific Breeze brand ambassadors. What we’ll change is the international artiste as we’ll bring an artiste who appeals to the Bulawayo market,” Chipaz said.
