Siblings fight over fishing worms

TWO siblings are at each other’s throats following a misunderstanding over fishing worms.

Kudakwashe Murombedzi accused his sister Hazvinei Murombedzi of disturbing his peace and applied for a protection order against her at the Harare Civil Court.

Presiding magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the application.

Kudakwashe, who told the court that he sells fishing worms, said:

“She is my sister and she comes to my workplace disturbing my peace. She has been coming to my workplace without my consent.

“We once worked together for my brother and we were fired. I then moved 200m away from his site.

“I told my sister to start hers so that we don’t crowd in one place, but she refused.

“She threatened to kill me if I refuse to work with her, ndakutotya kufamba.”

In her defence, Hazvinei disputed her brother’s account.

“Your Worship, my brother is a great liar, it is our business not his.

“I never threatened to kill him ndototyawo Mwari,” said Hazvinei.
