A BULAWAYO woman allegedly forged Mpilo Central Hospital documents in a scam targeting ZB Bank.
Zibusiso Ncube (22), who resides in the city centre, appeared before Bulawayo Magistrate Ms Beverly Madzikatire charged with forgery. She was released on US$250 bail and will be back in court on May 28.
The complainant is Sikhangele Chikoma (55), representing ZB Bank.

According to prosecutor Mr Sehliselo Khumalo, Ncube walked into ZB Bank on October 17, 2024, with a stack of faked hospital papers in hand — including a forged Mpilo Central Hospital letterhead, a bogus date stamp, and a fake medical bill supposedly signed off by a certain Dr Ngonidzashe Frank Chikomo.
But it was all a hoax.

“She did all this without the doctor’s authorisation. The aim was to claim hospital expenses and defraud the bank,” said Khumalo.
The attempted scam was flagged before any cash changed hands, but had it gone through, the bank would have suffered financial prejudice.
Now Ncube faces real hospital time, behind the bars of justice!
