SILENT Killer and Pagomba Café proprietor Tapiwa Gandiwa are now back on good terms, a day after the drama which saw the musician being ‘detained’ for arriving at a show in the early hours of the next day.
Silent Killer failed to perform at the joint on Saturday night despite having received full payment for his services.
The musician only showed up early on Sunday morning and was heckled by fans who prevented him from leaving Beitbridge as they demanded their money back.
Angry fans went on to destroy one of the Pagomba Café’s management vehicles before police were called in to sort out the issue.
It only took a rescheduled performance on Sunday night to reunite the musician and his fans in Beitbridge.
“We sat down with Silent Killer and ironed out the details of his contract and he agreed to perform on Sunday night so that he would make up for his mess.
“The fans ended up being reimbursed through the show which was now free of charge.
“He was mature enough to also apologise to the fans on stage.
“He went on to deliver an exciting show and the fans accepted his apology,” said Gandiwa.
Gandiwa said they made a separate arrangement for his damaged vehicle.
Silent Killer’s handlers said their car developed a mechanical problem along the way and they had to force their way to Beitbridge.
They apologised to Pagomba Café management and fans for the inconveniences caused.
Silent Killer is on a countrywide tour to promote his new album, ‘Tovatyorera Kutyoro,’ which he launched at Mbare’s Netball Complex last month. – (@H-Metro)
