SIMBA Bhora Football Club is expected to launch a Shamva Queens Football Club by the end of the soccer season.

Club owner, Simba “Buju” Ndoro told H-Metro on the sidelines of the Heart League Sponsorship Ceremony at Yadah Hotel on Friday.

He hailed Prophet Walter Magaya for empowering the girl child by sponsoring women soccer league teams.

“We are very inspired by such a development and take this opportunity to thank the sponsors of the league.

“They have managed to identify a crucial gap in our football ecosystem.

“Such is a giant and bald move to emulate.

“It gives us more energy and enthusiasm to launch our Shamva Queens by the end of this season. “Mashonaland Central is ready, so is Shamva and so is the nation.

“Let’s empower women and give power to the girl child,” said Simba.

Ndoro was among the guests at the US$320 000 sponsorship unveiling ceremony where the Theresa Maguraushe-led Women’s Soccer League, composed of 16 teams, was renamed Heart League.
