SIMBA IN KEY BATTLE

Bruce Chikuni

THE ZIFA Northern Region Division One League title race and the relegation battle are going to the wire.

There are just three games left before the season ends.

At the top, it’s a two-horse race between Simba Bhora and Herentals Under-20.

Odds tip Simba Bhora, who are top with 66 points.

The Shamva side make their sixth visit to Harare, when they meet Harare City Cubs, at Rufaro tomorrow.

They are yet to win in the capital, where they have just managed one goal, throughout the campaign.

Simba Bhora need, at least, six points to secure the title.

Herentals Under-20 need to win their fixture against Trojan and hope Simba Bhora drop points at Rufaro.

The Young Students desperately need to win their remaining assignments to entertain their slim championship hopes.

Black Mambas, Commando Bullets, Ngezi Under-19, Trojan Stars and Chegutu Pirates are all battling for a top four finish.

Third-placed Golden Eagles, seem to have already secured a top four finish.

Pam FC, Come Again, Golden Valley, CUMA Academy and Banket United are firmly in the relegation mix.

Each side is in search of four points to survive the chop.

Harare City Cubs and Cam & Motors cannot survive relegation.
