Singapore’s PM congratulates Kim Jong Un on summit

PYONGYANG. — The Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un received a letter from Lee Hsien Loong, prime minister of the Republic of Singapore, on Tuesday in congratulation of the successful DPRK-US summit talks.

Extending congratulations to Kim Jong Un with regard to the successful conclusion of the historic summit meeting between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the United States of America, the letter said that the joint statement signed by Chairman Kim and President Donald Trump is a dramatic advance and the first step of very important significance in the long course toward permanent peace and stability on the denuclearised Korean Peninsula.

The letter said Singapore deems it an honour to sponsor the important summit and congratulates together with the international community the success summit meeting and wishes that the DPRK and the US will make achievements in implementing their agreements.

Expressing belief that Chairman Kim spent pleasant days in Singapore touring the vicinity of the Marina Bay, the letter said the Singaporean prime minister wished to meet him again in the near future. – KCNA
