AFROPOP singer, Asher ‘Hisown Maggic’ Joe, says young people are facing a lot of challenges and music has the power to cast a spotlight on such issues.
The 21-year-old said:w
“My inspiration comes from the life I live and what I see around.
“I have noted that our generation goes through a lot and that has affected our mental well-being.
“So, my music addresses such issues, which affect the young people, and these include mental health, drug abuse, love issues, suicide, among other challenges.”
The Mufakose-bred artist started his journey into the world of music in 2016.
He has been honing his craft and captivating audiences with his unique sound.
“This year marked a significant milestone in my career after I released my first solo project, collaborating with renowned artists such as Kae Chaps, Calvin Mangena and Tocky Vibes.
“Under the label Gangstamadeit Music, I have been able to carve out my own path, expressing my creativity and passion for music.
“With each performance, I bring a mix of energy, charisma and an infectious enthusiasm that sets me apart.”
This rising star is destined to make his mark on the world stage.
Currently, he is riding on a music video, SeMhepo, which he released a few days ago.
“SeMhepo is a love song that was produced by Bleq Boi at Allied Kings Studio.
“The song encourages strong love relationships filled with happiness.”
