A SINGLE father of five turned monster and raped his married church-mate who had visited him, a court heard. Hudson Mazonde, 33, who appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Sibongile Msipa, denied raping his church-mate. He was remanded to July 30 on $50 bail. Prosecuting, Caroline Matanga said Mazonde raped his 29-year-old married church-mate who had visited him at his house.
The court heard that on July 10 at around 2PM, Mazonde telephoned the complainant and invited her to his house so they could watch movies and she agreed.
When she got to the house Mazonde allegedly invited her to his bedroom and she refused. He then pounced on her and allegedly raped her once.
The complainant reported the rape to her husband who then made a report to the police leading to Mazonde’s arrest, the court heard.
