Eaton, who won her native Tanzanian Open Strokeplay, trailed during the opening two rounds only to bounce back strongly on the last day.
This year, Zambians dominated the foreign flavour at the competition.
Team Borrowdale Brooke, playing in their backyard, ended Team Chapman’s supremacy as they won the team event. Siwela said they enjoyed good relations with their Zimbabwean counterparts.
“Eaton becomes the first Tanzanian lady to take part in the event, as a result of current good relations between Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union (ZLGU) and the Tanzania Ladies Golf Union (TLGU,” said Siwela.
At last year’s Tanzania Ladies Amateur Stroke Play Championship held at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club, Zimbabwe’s Loice Chingono was among the visiting players.
